What is #AquaMod and why does it take Nintendo Amiibo to the next LEVEL?! - Pt 2 of 3

We are now past the vanilla concepts of "what is #AquaMod?" #AquaMod is a process where you use hot water to scientifically re-shape and reform certain substances. In this case; Amiibos from Nintendo, the Vinyl and composite plastic parts which make the figures so cheap to manage producing. This is good for modders and collectors though as it allows us to use a process which can bend and shape these figures into wild poses and places… But there is a process. And as I explained here in this blog post, you can see the simple parts of the experiment. But as with any good science, I have been testing. And boy have I found some amazing results… Check it out!
I have found that the temperature for this process has to be over 300 degrees for molecular reshaping. However it also has to have Vinyl in the plastic, or be a completely Vinyl part. 100% Plastic types are going back to their original places. So I will discuss that here too. And as I stated in the process, running cold water over them while holding the figure in places is a must. You also have to understand that you may need to heat your character in multiple steps, making the #AquaMod figure more poseable.

Like this Sonic:
So with the process of heating the source, I have also found that it requires to be completely submerged and brought to full-malleability… Meaning the easiest way to bend the limbs or body. At this point, time is of the essence as you have to get the shape (remember, the vanilla post) in place so you can be ready to get it cold water. The goal is to SHOCK the plastic from one temp to another, effectively LOCKING it into place.

Some retention will take place in certain minor vinyl plastics like Disney’s Infinity Characters but the twists and bends will hold infinitely. Pun intended.
I am Groot...
So I have been testing this on many different characters, and yes, I tried it on Donkey Kong, He soaked for 4 minutes and his left arm would move a millimeter, LOL. No go, he is not poseable. So watch out for that, some characters will not be poseable. Bowser, King DeDeDe, and Pikachu to name a few. I thought I had a good Pikachu but I noticed the other day his apparently plastic tail went back to curved… I dipped him again, to no avail, and then dropped it in the water due to steam burn and over-boiling, be careful of that everyone… USE TONGS!
But anyways, it has been a fun experiment, and once I can get my hands on some of the Amiibos coming in the future, I will keep this updated!
Enjoy experimenting with this and thanks for reading!
